2. Who may use Pikipon
Pikipon is intended for adults, parents, and legal guardians.
Children should not create accounts or use Pikipon without adult supervision.
If you upload a child’s drawing or provide information relating to a child, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or that you have permission to do so.
In France, CNIL explains that children under 15 generally need parental consent for certain online personal data processing.
3. Personal data we collect
We try to collect only the data needed to operate Pikipon.
We may collect the following categories of data:
Account data, such as your email address, account ID, login provider, and account creation date.
Profile data, such as your display name, if you choose to provide one.
Uploaded content, such as children’s drawings that you upload to create a storybook.
Story inputs, such as character name, story title, story language, story idea, tone, and selected visual style.
Generated content, such as AI generated story text, images, thumbnails, PDFs, project status, and storybook data.
Subscription data, such as your plan, story credit balance, renewal status, and billing status.
Payment data, processed by Stripe or another payment provider. Pikipon does not store your full payment card details.
Support data, such as messages you send to us, support requests, and account deletion requests.
Technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, error logs, security logs, and usage events.
Cookie data, where cookies or similar technologies are used.
4. Data we do not intentionally collect
Pikipon does not intentionally ask users to provide sensitive personal data.
Please do not upload or enter health information, government ID numbers, financial information, private addresses, school details, or other sensitive information.
Please do not upload photos of children or other people unless you have the right and permission to do so.
5. How we use your data

Create and manage your account.
Authenticate your login.
Provide the Pikipon service.
Process uploaded drawings.
Generate storybooks, images, titles, text, previews, and PDFs.

7. AI processing
Pikipon uses AI providers to generate story text, images, and related content.
To provide the service, we may send uploaded drawings, story inputs, generated content, and related project data to AI providers.
In production, Pikipon currently uses:

These providers process data only as needed to provide the AI generation features.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, inconsistent, unexpected, or unsuitable. You should review generated content before showing it to a child or sharing it with others.
8. Hosting, storage, and technical providers
Pikipon may use third party providers to operate the service.
These providers may include:
Vercel, for website hosting and deployment.
Supabase, for authentication, database, file storage, and backend services.
Stripe, for payment processing and subscription management.
OpenAI, for AI text, image, or vision processing.
Google Gemini, for AI analysis or generation.
Email or support providers, if needed to respond to user messages.
Analytics or monitoring providers, if used to understand errors, performance, and service reliability.
We only share data with providers when needed to operate, secure, improve, or support Pikipon.
9. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe or another third party payment provider.
Pikipon does not store your full card number, CVC, or full payment card details.
We may receive limited payment information, such as payment status, subscription plan, billing country, invoice status, and customer ID, so we can manage your subscription and story credits.
Your payment provider may process your data under its own privacy policy.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
Pikipon may use cookies or similar technologies.
Some cookies are necessary for the service to work, such as login, security, session, and account cookies.
We may also use optional analytics or performance cookies to understand how the service is used and to improve reliability.

Support messages are kept as long as needed to answer your request and keep a reasonable record of the exchange.
Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security, debugging, and reliability.
Deleted account data will be deleted or anonymized after a reasonable technical delay, unless we must keep some information for legal, tax, accounting, dispute, fraud prevention, or security reasons.

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal data linked to your account, unless we need to keep certain information for legal, tax, accounting, dispute, fraud prevention, or security reasons.
Deleting your account may permanently delete your projects, storybooks, uploaded drawings, generated images, PDFs, story credits, and access to the service.
You are responsible for downloading any content you want to keep before deleting your account.
